During 2019, the Honeysuckle Foreshore in Newcastle was undergoing construction. I was inspired by the numerous cranes visible on the horizon - they seemed to fit together perfectly. Referencing the tessellating works of M.C. Escher, I created the final design of Cranes, using bright colours to emphasise the silhouette of the repeating pattern.
